Our little city along the Delaware River is growing to be anything but little. New shops and art galleries are sprouting up, older venues are being made modern and the food options seem to get better by the minute. Lambertville is turning into one of the coolest places to be this summer, and here’s why:

1. Shops Show Their Pride
The third week of May, New Hope and Lambertville came together to celebrate the LGBT community. Pride Week was wrapped up with a marriage ceremony, parade and party that took over the streets of our river towns. And three days later, gay marriage was passed in Pennsylvania! Diana Vincent Jewelry Designs was among the shops that went above and beyond to welcome the gay and lesbian community with an outstanding window display and gallery tour. Any town that throws a parade for marriage equality has to be pretty cool, right?
2. Nite Fare – June 12th
Lambertville is closing its streets for its first ever food truck festival! A night fit for a foodie, this event will feature 12 food trucks, 15 tables showcasing city restaurants and a beer garden serving three Yards Brewing Company craft styles. The event starts at 5pm, so get there on time, grab a bite to eat and be sure to visit the local shops that keep Lambertville alive (they’ll be open until 10pm!)
The most luxurious wedding venue in Hunterdon County (and perhaps New Jersey) has made its debut. The Riverside Ballroom within the Inn at Lambertville Station is the only ballroom overlooking the Delaware River, with glittering chandeliers and antique paintings to complete the perfect setting. The chapel on the ground floor where they will hold ceremonies opens up to breathtaking scenery of Lambertville, and the Riverview suite is a fantastic place to begin your honeymoon!
4. Art Fills the Lambertville Music Hall
There was an old empty church in Lambertville that was causing some hot debate amongst locals. The original goal of turning this space into a Music Hall has now taken a turn: after opening their doors to the community residents and hearing their feedback, the committee has decided to turn the church into a home for the arts. Visual, performing, musical — the Lambertville Music Hall is doing anything that they can do to be an incubator for emerging artists.
5. Dish Catering at Lambertville House
If you’re familiar with Lambertville, you’ve probably sipped on the sweet cocktails at Left Bank Lounge on Bridge Street. But if the dining scene is what draws you to Lambertville, then here’s another reason to visit: Dish Catering is now serving up flights of cheese and the freshest oysters in this cozy, relaxing setting.
