Memorial Day is about honoring our fallen soldiers who have fought hard for America and its citizens. Communities throughout Hunterdon County will have music, floats, and waving flags honoring America’s soldiers this Memorial Day Weekend.

Lambertville Memorial Day Parade
When: Monday, May 30th, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: Corner of North Union and Cherry Streets
What: The parade will continue to follow the same route with a short service at City Hall, 18 York Street and ending at Mary Sheridan Park. Lt. Col. Philip J. Faherty, III will serve as the Grand Marshall. Click here to read Phil’s bio.

Wine & Music Under The Stars 
When: Friday, May 27th, 6-9pm
Where: Old York Cellars, 80 Old York Rd. Ringoes, NJ
What: An evening of wine and music on the vineyard. Guests are invited bring their own food and sit back and enjoy the music with a glass of our award winning wine. One of Hunterdon’s fine rock bands, Naked Jake, will play a high-energy twist to a catalog of rock, pop and country covers that includes Guns ‘N Roses, Garth Brooks, and Def Leppard. Reserved Seating is limited. Pre-purchase well in advance to insure reservation. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. By law, Old York Cellars’ wine is the only alcohol allowed on premise. All coolers will be checked.

Summer Kick-off Weekend

: Saturday, May 28th, 12 – 7pm through Sunday, May 29th, 12 – 5pm
Where:  Old York Cellars, 80 Old York Rd. Ringoes, NJ
What:  Relax on the beautiful vineyard and take in the views while soaking in the sun. Pack a picnic to enjoy on the patio while you vibe out to live music and grab a wine slushie to keep it cool. It’s the perfect way to spend a Summer’s day!

Hopewell Memorial Day Parade
When: Sunday, May 29, 2016 | 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Where: Hopewell Parade Route Hopewell, NJ
What:  Enjoy an old-fashioned parade with veterans marching, bands playing, flags waving & fire trucks shining. Line up is organized at Taylor Terrace and the marching begins at 1pm, moving east on Broad Street. Sponsored by the Hopewell Borough Fire Dept.

The Spirit of Princeton Memorial Day Parade

What:
 Please join us for a short ceremony at Princeton Monument Hall at 11am.

Flemington Car Show
When: May 28th
Where: Flemington Main Street, Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
What: The Flemington Car Shows run every-other Saturday all Summer long offering the community a source of fun free family entertainment. Each show, hundreds of some of the best classic cars on the East Coast come out to Flemington. The shows are free to the public, and car owners. Live Performances are given by local talented musicians each show at two areas on Main Street, complimented by a DJ spinning classic tunes. Trophys earned by the best cars & door prizes raffled to everyone. Several kids activities like face painting, bounce house, games, and balloon sculptures. The shows are managed by Car Show Chairman Ron Van Horn.

Bedminster Memorial Day Parade
When: 
Monday, May 30, 2016 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: 
Old Bedminster School Elm St & Lamington Rd. Bedminster NJ, 07921
What: 
The Bedminster ceremony begins at 10am at the old Bedminster school. A parade will follow down Lamington Rd ½ mile to the Far Hills ceremony which will take place at approximately 10:45. After the ceremony we will be serving hot dogs and refreshments in the fairgrounds. Call (908) 234-1179

Hillsborough’s Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony
When: 
Saturday, May 28, 2016 |  10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Where: 
Hillsborough Township Police Department Hillsborough, , NJ
What: 
Local veterans, fire companies, police, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, youth sports teams, and a variety of other youth and community organizations will be marching. The parade will step off from the corner of New Amwell and Auten Road at 10:30am.

Califon Memorial Day Parade
When
: May 30th, 11 a.m.
Where:  The parade will start on School Street, proceeding down Main Street and continuing to Califon Island Park.
What:   The Califon Recreation Committee will proudly present its 15th Annual Califon Memorial Day Parade. The parade will start at 11:00 AM on School Street and will feature bagpipers, the 15th New Jersey Volunteers Infantry Company A, antique cars, scout troops, area fire and rescue squads and more. The parade will proceed down Main Street and will continue on to Califon Island Park where the Voorhees High School Jazz band will perform. In honor of those being remembered, bagpipes will play from the center of the Califon Bridge. A memorial service will be held next to the Califon Veterans Memorial. The National Anthem will be played while local scouts raise the American flag. The 15th, NJ will close the memorial service by performing a 21 gun salute as everyone pauses for a moment of silence. Afterwards, Califon Fire Company will have food and drinks for purchase. Also joining the festivities are the Kona Ice Truck, Fun Fitness on Wheels by Kidz on the Go and more! Community groups and organizations, antique cars and tractors, floats, animals (with their owners!) musical ensembles, etc. Are all welcomed and encouraged to participate in this annual event. Readington Township Memorial Day Parade
When: Monday, May 30th, 10:30am
Where: Whitehouse Mall on Route 22 and continues to the Municipal building
What:  Readington’s Annual Memorial Day Parade will step off from King’s Plaza Shopping Center at 10:30 Monday morning with floats, marchers,  pipes and drums and Emergency Services vehicles.  Parade participants should assemble in the King’s parking lot at 9:30 a.m.  The Parade will proceed south on Rt. 523, Main Street, ending at the Municipal Building, where a Flag Raising Ceremony will be held, followed by Community Day at Pickell Park. Rt. 523 will be closed to traffic starting at 9:30 a.m. between Route 22 and Readington Road. Parade viewers may park at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse School, the Polish American Citizens Club, the Whitehouse Train Station and the Municipal Lot behind The Rail.  There will be no parking at the Municipal Building.
