Enjoy great food, live music and more all while helping the arts in Hunterdon County. Attend the Hunterdon Art Museum’s ArtParty on Saturday, April 29.

Take a tour of delicious cuisines from around the world without ever leaving the charming confines of the Hunterdon Art Museum on Saturday, April 29 at ArtParty 2017: RED, a fund-raising gala to benefit the Museum’s education programs and exhibitions.

Enjoy tapas-style bites bursting with global flavor and perfectly prepared by 15 Landsdowne. The menu includes classic Charleston shrimp and grits; smoked salmon-sesame cornet; Tandoori chicken kabobs; Japanese negima yakitori (chicken skewers with scallion); Nashville chicken and waffles; and Cuban Lechon Asado tacos. 15 Landsdowne is donating the food for this event.

Metropolitan Seafood Co. is donating its raw bar featuring fresh shrimp, oysters, clams and crab.

Accompanying the great food will be an assortment of wines. Guests can sip cocktails while enjoying live red-hot jazz performed by La Vie en Rose on the Museum’s Toshiko Takaezu Terrace, located beside a waterfall on the south bank of the Raritan River across from The Red Mill.
Guests will also be treated to a performance by Samba Viva, a quartet of samba dancers and two drummers.

The event includes a silent auction where everyone can bid on one-of-a-kind works of art and exciting experience packages such as a six-course, fully customized plated dinner for 10; and a cupcake wars decorating party. The Museum will also be raffling off an array of prizes.

“Whether you come for a fabulous meal, the live music or to take home an inspiring work of art, this will be a truly memorable evening,” said Marjorie Frankel Nathanson, executive director of the Museum. “Attending ArtParty is the perfect way to show your support for the Museum and the arts in Hunterdon County, and what could be better than having an extraordinary meal at one of the state’s most picturesque sites?”

The fundraiser begins at 6 p.m., and tickets cost $175 each. All proceeds benefit the Hunterdon Art Museum’s educational programs and exhibitions of contemporary art, craft and design. Tickets can be purchased online at www.hunterdonartmuseum.org or by calling 908-735-8415.
ArtParty sponsors are 15 Landsdowne, THE LOOK: An Aveda Hair Studio, Eggostic Events, The Lucky Cupcake Company, Starr’s Party and Tent Rentals, Metropolitan Seafood Co., Unity Bank, and Bourbon Street Wine & Spirits.

The Museum presents about 15 exhibitions of contemporary art, craft and design and offers about 300 classes, camps and workshops for children and adults annually. More than 1,000 children each year participate in the Museum’s studio art program, with hundreds more participating in school, enrichment and other programs.
