Splash of History Presentation: The Clinton Music Hall

Where: The Red Mill Museum Village * 56 Main Street, Clinton, NJ 08809
When: September 3, Thursday, 7 p.m.
What: Come learn about the Clinton Music Hall, an important local landmark which brought national acts to the Clinton stage. Among the performances at the Music Hall were traveling musicians, vaudeville acts, Wild West shows, and early cinema.

First Fridays

Where: Lambertville & New Hope
When: September 4th, October 2nd, November 6th, December 4th
What: An ongoing series of First Friday art events that combines galleries and artist’s studios on both sides of the Delaware River.

21st Annual Sheep & Fiber Festival

7th Annual Central Jersey Jazz Festival

Where:  Flemington Historic Court House; Monument Square at Livingston Ave. and George St; & Somerset County Court House Green
When: Friday, September 18, 2015  – Sunday, September 20, 2015
What: The tri-county Event held in in Flemington,New Brunswick and Somerville will run from September 18-20. The Open Air event attracts music and art lovers from all over the State and nearby metropolitan areas. The Flemington Restaurant Association (FRA) will be hosting the food court for the Central Jersey Jazz Festival. Local craft beers provided by Tapestry. Although the music is free the art, beverage and food is not. So bring lots of cash and your favorite chair! Kick-Off with Sarah Partridge; Mona’s Hot Four; Chuck Lambert. Headliner is Bria Skonberg

Hunterdon Harmonizers Craft Fair

Where: Annual Craft Fair – Main Street, Flemington, NJ
When
: Saturday, September 19, 2015 – Sunday, September 20, 2015 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Rain or Shine)
What:  Music and crafts will liven up Flemington Main Street. This annual ritual welcoming Fall has been presented by the Hunterdon Harmonizers Barbershop Chorus for over 30 years.This year the event will feature free performances by the Hunterdon Harmonizers on the Courthouse steps at 1:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. Quartets will also be strolling around town providing impromptu entertainment. Nearly 70 crafters and artisans will line both sides of Main Street, providing great selections for gifts and shopping. Tents and tables proudly display a variety of wares including jams and jellies, paintings, quilts, jewelry, pottery, and handmade furniture.

What:  The Hunterdon County Antiques Festival is held on a couple times per year.  This antiques and collectibles festival attracts over ninety dealers and thousands of visitors from the Mid Atlantic region.   The Hunterdon County Antiques Festival features period furniture, antique country furniture, quilts, art glass and folk art as well as pottery, porcelain and china.

New Jersey Pottery Festival

Where:  Kissimmee River Pottery, 50 Mine Street in the Stangl Pottery Factory, Flemington
When: Saturday, October 10, 2015, 10am-5pm
What: The New Jersey Pottery Festival features artists from 3 states. There are demonstrations throughout the day including basic throwing on the wheel, hand building, and decorating vessels fresh from the kiln with horse hair. The featured potter this year is Brooke Millecchia from Rochester New York.

Flemington Restaurant Week Fall 2015

What: The Flemington Business Improvement District’s (BID) Restaurant Week returns Nov. 2-8 and the restaurant line up is as exciting as ever. The Flemington Restaurant Association invites the community to come out enjoy a good deal on a great meal. Restaurant Week prices usually do not include beverage, tax or gratuity. Some restaurants may have chosen to exclude certain days-call ahead to confirm participation on a particular day.

CEA/Johanna Foods Turkey Trot

When: Thursday, November 26, 2015, Thanksgiving Day 5K Run – 9:30am & 2 Mile Fitness Walk – 9:15am
What:  The CEA/Johanna Foods Turkey Trot 5K run and 2-mile fitness walk in Flemington, NJ will be celebrating its 22nd anniversary on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015. Proceeds from this festive event benefit the Center for Educational Advancement (CEA) whose mission is to educate, empower and employ individuals with special needs. The Turkey Trot 5K run will return to its original 9:30am starting time and the 2 mile fitness walk starts at 9:15am. Online registration for the 5K Run and 2-mile Walk will be available soon. Register online and save $5 over paper registration. Unionville Vineyards Fall Harvest

Scare Farm

When: September 25th– November 1st
What: Scare Farm, in nearby Hillsborough, has three haunted attractions and a not so scary corn maze to ensure Halloween fun for the whole family.

Haunted Village Fundraiser

Where: The Red Mill Museum Village, 56 Main Street, Clinton, NJ 08809
When: October 9 and 10, 16 and 17, and 23 and 24.
What:  The Red Mill Haunted Village in Clinton, NJ will be held on six evenings this year. Tickets are $30.00/each; Special Express Tickets are $45.00/each. All tickets are night specific and cannot be used on other nights. Unless you hold a Special Express Ticket that allows your bypassing the queue, you may have to wait in line for entry into the show. Lines form early and the wait time is longest around 8:00 pm. The event begins at dark so that special effects are the scariest and most effective.

Pumpkin Picking and Frightfest

When: Pumpkin Picking weekends and holidays from late September to late October during the day and frightfest at night.
