It’s officially October, which also means it’s officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Check out what’s happening this month to find what you can do to support the cause. There are a variety of ways to participate whether that’s running a 5k to going out for drinks to support the research, treatment, and recovery for those in Hunterdon and beyond!

Fit for Cancer Fundraiser

When: Friday, September 23 – Saturday, October 8

Where: Clinton, Lambertville, and Whitehouse Station

The annual Fit for Cancer Fundraiser is back and calling you to help raise money for the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center! Register to participate in a variety of fitness classes at Hunterdon Health and Wellness Centers in Clinton, Lambertville, and Whitehouse Station. Create a Facebook fundraising page and ask friends and family to donate to you, in turn, to support those fighting breast cancer! For more information, visit here.

Dance for the Cure — Ribbons of Hope 2022

When: Thursday, October 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Bridgewater Marriott

Volunteer, donate, and get involved with Dance for the Cure to help raise awareness about breast cancer! The organization came together from breast cancer survivors who wanted to bring the community together to help those in need. The organization is completely made up of volunteers and had been able to gift over $850,000 to people fighting cancer in Somerset, Hunterdon, and Middlesex counties. Paint It Pink

When: Saturday, October 1 – Wednesday, November 30

CertaPro Painters in Hunterdon has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) to Paint It Pink for another year! The goal is to raise $120k from October through November to help raise funds to support breast cancer research. Franchises that partake will be giving a percentage of every finished painting project. $50 funds one hour of research at BCRF, meaning the goal will give 2,400 hours of research to help those battling breast cancer.
