Ideas:
Plan a sightseeing trip
There are so many amazing places right here in Hunterdon County. Plan a few visits and take a candid photo in each place. Later, make it into an album and give it to her a week or so past Mother’s Day this will be a gift that keeps on giving.
Spa day
Take mom out to one of our many luxurious spas in Hunterdon County for anything from a simple Mani/Pedi to a full spa day with massages and the works. If that is not in the budget plan an in-home spa day complete with more foot soaks and facemasks.
Cooking class
Hunterdon County offers plenty of places to go out to eat but an alternative to going out to eat would be to spend the day preparing an amazing meal with mom, with you doing the heavy lifting in honor of mom of course. Who knows what hidden family tricks and recipes might come out in this fun activity!
Volunteer
They say that the happiest people are those who give to others. Planning a day of volunteering with mom might be a great way for you both to get closer to each other and also feel like you’re helping the community and those less fortunate. Volunteering can be anything from helping out at the soup kitchen to walking a dog from a shelter and there are plenty of places in Hunterdon to do this. Check out the charities in the 2014 Happening List. Brighten your Mom’s Mother’s Day by brightening lives of others together!
