North Hunterdon Theater Organization Presents “Little Women”

When: Saturday, October 19 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Sunday, October 20 at 3 p.m.
Where: North Hunterdon High School, 1441 Route 31 South, Annandale

Students in the North Hunterdon Theater Organization are performing “Little Women,” based on Louisa May Alcott’s novel. NHTO hopes that the production will encourage people to read the classic Little Women or other titles by the same author. To that end, NHTO is offering $1 off the ticket price of audience members who show that they are reading any of Louisa May Alcott’s novels by bringing their book to the performance. Doors open for ticket sales thirty minutes before curtain. Tickets, at $10 for general admission and $8 for senior citizens and students, are available at the door.  All performances are in the school theater.

Tot Walks at Echo Hill

When: Friday, October 18 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon
Where: 42 Lilac Drive, Flemington

Join Senior Park Naturalist Laura Bush on these early adventures to discover nature at the park! Leave the strollers behind and take a walk outside to see plants and animals around us. The one-hour program will include a walk and an indoor time of a story and craft. The theme this month is Leaves. This walk is geared to children ages 2 to 3 with an adult accompanying the child. Each child is $3, accompanying adults are free. Register in advancehere.

Dracula by Roxey Ballet

When: Friday, Oct. 18 through Oct. 27
Where: Roxey Ballet, 243 N. Union street #140, Lambertville

Sink your teeth into this Gothic tale of romance choreographed by Mark Roxey as Dracula struggles against the cross and his love of Lucy. Tickets are $42-$44.

Night Before the Tour Party

When: Friday, October 18 from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.
Where: Alba Vineyard, 269 Riegelsville Warren Glen Road, Milford

The kickoff event for the Pohatcong Historic House Tour. Tickets are $75 per person and include an evening of fine wine, great food, music, silent auction and a complimentary ticket to the self-guided historic house tour on Saturday, October 19. All proceeds benefit the Pohatcong History & Heritage Society. Purchase tickets here.

Pohatcong’s 25th Anniversary Historic House Tour

When: Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Self-guided tour starts at Alba Vineyard; Winery Train Tour is on the Bel-Del Railroad

Snuggled along the banks of the Musconetcong River is the Village of Finesville, home to a legion of historic homes, lime kilns, farms and bridges. The Pohatcong Historic Society will open a number of these homes for tours. Meet hosts dressed in vintage clothing, see period household implements and furnishing. There are two options for taking this historic tour. Take a self-guided tour that leaves from Alba Vineyard. Or, go on the Winery Train Tour. Take a ride on the Bel-Del Railroad, enjoy a box lunch, and go on a bus tour of select houses, followed by a wine tasting at Villa Milagro Vineyards. Lambertville House Tour 2019

When: Sunday, October 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Free shuttle parking lot at Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad, 70 Alexander Avenue, Lambertville

Lambertville Historical Society’s autumn house tour — in its 37th year! Lambertville’s architecture and history span more than two centuries. Enjoy visiting the homes and buildings open for this year’s tour, stroll the streets, explore the shops, enjoy the wonderful restaurants, and experience the beauty of the Delaware River waterfront.

This is a self-guided walking tour with volunteers to help you at each tour site.  Walking around Lambertville is involved and usually takes from 2-3 hours to do the entire tour. Get more information and purchase tickets at this link.

2019 Pet Masquerade

When: Sunday, October 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Mary E. Sheridan Park, 37 York Street, Lambertville

The Animal Alliance of New Jersey is hosting its 15th Annual Pet Masquerade! There will be a pet costume contest and parade, food vendors, some adoptable animals from Animal Alliance, and lots of family fun! There is a $15 registration fee for eat pet registered in the contest/parade. Lots of different categories to compete in!

Spooktacular

When: Sunday, Oct. 20 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
Where: Chirp Workshop, 32 Fulper Road, Flemington

Kids are invited to go on a pumpkin hunt, make their own mummy or skeleton bear, vie for prizes for best costume and play Halloween-themed games. Tickets $25 per child.
