Independence Day is the quintessential American summertime holiday. A perfect combination of warm air, bright sun, great food, and unconditional patriotism makes July 4th a hit each and every year. This year will arguably be our most active outdoor holiday in recent time as events span from early morning parades to late evening fireworks. Hunterdon County is celebrating Independence Day with events all weekend long. Whether you are up for walking down main street viewing classic cars or prefer to sit back and listen to live music at the vineyards, there’s something for everyone this weekend.

Flemington Car Show

Main Street
Flemington, NJ

Head to the Flemington Car Show on Saturday, July 3rd from 5:30pm to 8:30pm! All year, make and model cars, trucks, and motorcycles are welcome. The spotlight will be on Foreign, Motorcycles & Trucks. Two stages of live music will be set up for all to enjoy. The stages will be on the lawn at the Historic Hunterdon Chamber of Commerce, 119 Main Street and on the porch at Main Street Bagel, 26 Main Street. Hangout on the beautiful historic Main Street with your family, friends, & neighbors to enjoy live music and check out some cool cars! Admission is free.

Quarry Concerts – Summer Concert Series

Lambertville, NJ
Enjoy intimate live music outdoors at Big Bear Gear on Saturday nights throughout the summer. Sit around the campfire, make s’mores and enjoy live music. Advanced ticket purchase is required ($5 per person) and attendance is limited to 35 people so come early. Bring a folding chair or blanket and flashlight. Performances are about a 400 foot walk from the parking lot. On July 3rd from 4-9 pm, Michael Patrick will be playing.

Celebrate Independence Day at Federal Twist Vineyards with live music and wine in the vines. Bring your own blankets and chairs, along with an appetite. The grill menu will be available from 12-5 pm on July 3rd and entry is $5.

Ice Cream Party

Howell Living History Farm

Farmer Jim and his crew will use a “hit and miss” engine to churn gallons of ice cream in the shade of a maple tree while live music by the Jugtown Mountain String Band, children’s games, and farmhouse tours add to the fun on the front lawn. Ice cream, surrey rides, and a children’s craft are available for purchase. The event is from 10-4 pm on Saturday, July 3rd.

Lebanon Borough 4th of July Parade

Lebanon, NJ

The Lebanon Borough 4th of July Parade is celebrating its 74+ years as the oldest parade in Hunterdon County NJ. Festivities will begin with the children’s parade. Residents of Lebanon Borough are urged to decorate their homes for inclusion in the house decorating contest. The main parade will step off promptly at 11:30AM and follow West along Main Street, down Myrtle Avenue and then down Brunswick Avenue.

Stop by Holjes-Sheppard Park following the parade for festivities including singing of “The Star Spangled Banner”, the flag raising ceremony, presentation of awards, refreshments, games & friendly competition for folks of all ages!

Titusville 4th of July Parade

The Titusville Community Fourth of July Parade is a long-standing special tradition in the community and is back for 2021. Here is the order of events:
