When the child of American celebrity pilot Charles Lindbergh was kidnapped, the part of New Jersey surrounding his Hopewell estate exploded into a wild scene of all levels of law enforcement, bounty hunters, investigators, reporters, and those who came to gawk at the spectacle. Little Hopewell was literally overrun as the focus of the nation fixated upon the missing baby and the trial of Bruno Hauptmann that followed.
Join author and historian Jim Davidson for a visual presentation of the hysteria that overwhelmed the Sourlands in the Tasting Room at Unionville Vineyards. His recent book, “The Lindbergh Kidnapping and Trial” will be available for purchase and signing as well. There is no cost to attend but seating is limited, please call 908-788-0400 to reserve your space. Light fare will be offered and wine can be purchased by the glass or bottle.
