Hunterdon Art Museum is offering three full scholarships this winter to “Art With Heart,” a special open studio program for young people with special needs, physical limitations, developmental disabilities and/or any neurodiversity.
“Art With Heart” encourages students to express their own vision in a fun and nurturing environment. They are presented with a choice of art materials to discover what they enjoy working with best. Art-making topics are tailored to students, and include drawing, painting, sculpting, mixed media and fiber arts.
“Art With Heart” is designed for children ages 5 through 16. Parents are welcome to participate, observe or drop-off. The session runs for five Tuesdays, starting February 26. Classes are 45 minutes from 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m.
All scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline to apply is February 19. Click here for the application. Additional spots will be available at the normal tuition rate of $70 ($60 for Members.) Click here for more information or call HAM Education Director Joan Gavornik at 908-735-8415.
Scholarships are made possible thanks to a grant from Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Investors Foundation and donations by generous individuals.
