What: The Green Wedding Expo- an event to inspire brides and grooms to make a vow to treat the planet, as well as one’s spouse, with love and respect.
Why: 35 to 40 floor samples of designer gowns have been consigned to Don’t Toss It for sale that day at seventy five percent (75%) off of wholesale, warehouse pricing. The dress sale is CASH & CARRY only (no credit cards or checks; no fitting rooms). Only 8 individuals will be admitted into the showroom at one time on a first-come, first-served basis. Dresses will be sold as-is. Returns are accepted within 72 hours (only) for a 20 percent restocking fee.
At the Green Wedding Expo, brides and grooms will also find talented wedding artists capable of helping them realize their dream wedding. Participating vendors that cater to weddings that are environmentally friendly include:
- Old New Borrowed Blue: designer of upcycled bridal hair combs and accessories;
- Curious Goods: a store in New Hope, PA featuring vintage, upcycled, shabby chic wedding accessories;
- Love By Leya: handmade eco-friendly papercut wedding stationery;
- Green Birdie Video Productions: wedding videographer;
- We Love Photobooths: photo booth rentals; and
- Weddings by Two: wedding photography company.
Kim Rosner, one of Don’t Toss It’s boutique artists, will be hosting a workshop and demonstration at 2 p.m. on how to create a bridal bouquet out of fabric.
