Known for being one of the most photographed sites in New Jersey, the Red Mill and surrounding historic village, are a slice of life from an earlier time in Hunterdon County. The museum works to preserve agricultural, industrial and domestic artifacts. The village includes historic buildings such as an 1860s schoolhouse, a Blacksmith shop, a Dynamite Shed, and a Tenant House.

These family-friendly events include tours of the property, costumed re-enactors, and live trade and craft demonstrations. On Fridays, learn to spin yarn using drop spindles and spinning wheels in the weekly “Spinning Bee.” On the final summer discovery day, Saturday, August 23, you can learn bobbin lacing and basket making with local artisans.
