Since River Horse Brewing Company made the move from Lambertville to Ewing in 2013, Hunterdon hasn’t had its own craft brewery…well, until last week. On Saturday, July 11th, New Jersey’s newest brewery, Conclave Brewing Company, opened it’s doors.

Carl Alfaro and Tim Bouton of Whitehouse Station are the co-owners of the 1,000-square-foot brewery located in the Raritan Trade Center on Minneakoning Road.

Four beers are currently available, including:

  • Espresso Milk Stout: The espresso in the milk stout, which Alfaro calls his personal favorite, comes from local roaster Benfatto Coffee of Hillsborough.
  • Farmhouse Saison
  • Farmhouse Saison dry-hopped with Mosaic
  • Mexican Morning: Milk stout with coffee, dried red chile de arbol peppers, vanilla bean, cinnamon and cocoa nibs.

For now, the entire Conclave output will be distributed in kegs, for draft beer, and not in bottles.

Espresso Milk Stout and Farmhouse Saison will be available for growler fills, samples, and 12oz pours. Mosaic Farmhouse Saison and Mexican Morning will be available for 4oz pours only.

Cheers!
