KidKaDoodle

Owner of KidKaDoodle Melissa Emmons was a long time daycare provider. In 2023 she came up with the idea to offer parents and caregivers a chance to experience her favorite part of the day, watching kids learn and grow through creativity and play. KidKaDoodle offers classes for ages 10 months to 4 years old and their parent or caregiver, with age-appropriate crafts, books and activities.

KidKaDoodle classes offer story time, circle time, and arts and crafts with stories and songs tailored to each age group. Younger groups may hear a singsong story while the older groups get a song that helps them learn a new color, letter, or shape. Each class also includes open play and opportunities for parents to connect with one another. KidKaDoodle’s goal is to offer community, family, fun, and education all in one. Delicious Bites Mini Donuts

This mobile donut shop, run by Hunterdon locals Ron and Diane Gelok, serves bite-size donuts at events across the county. The couple opened Delicious Bites Mini Donuts in 2024, wanting to get away from Ron’s long work hours and strengthen their marriage. Ron and Diane are grateful that the business allowed them to reconnect and spend more time together, learning in the process that they work quite well together.

Ron and Diane enjoy the freedom that owning a mobile business affords them. Instead of spending their time raising money for a brick and mortar shop, the couple has found success as a pop-up shop, meeting new customers at festivals, parties, and private events. #LOVELOCAL TIP: A customer fave going into the colder months is pairing their cinnamon sugar donuts with a hot apple cider!
