unnamed-4The engagement experts at Diana Vincent Jewelry Designs have the pleasure of working with couples looking to get engaged every day. Men go to Diana Vincent to find that perfect, brilliant engagement ring that will have their significant other nodding their head yes. But finding the ring is just the first step! “The guys that come in are always very nervous! They have a lot on their minds and we try our best to ease their worries,” says Gemologist Judy Weber.

Today the team at Dian Vincent has shared with us some of their favorite local places to pop the question… but first, some tips to ensure the pre-engagement process goes smoothly:

  • Know your significant other. Do your research – check out what photos she’s pinned on Pinterest and analyze her style. Ask her family or friends if they have an idea of what ring style she has in mind.
  • When selecting a ring, don’t overwhelm yourself with options. Shop around at no more than two or three places. Pick the place you feel most comfortable, with trustworthy salespeople who listen to you. And don’t be afraid to ask questions, it’s important to find out about the quality of the diamond and the craftsmanship of the ring.
  • Consider getting the inside of your ring personalized! Vincent, the co-owner of Diana Vincent engraved his wife’s ring with a few words from a Robert Browning poem: “‘Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be’ love Vinny paris 1984”
  • It may sound silly, but practice saying, “will you marry me?” so you don’t get tongue- tied during the real deal! And while you’re at it, make sure you tell her why you want to marry her.
  • Propose to your significant other some place romantic and relatively private. This is an intimate moment that you most likely won’t want to share with strangers. Below are a few quiet areas around Hunterdon County that are perfect for a romantic proposal.
