New Jersey Balloon Festival
This weekend, July 25th-27th the Quick Chek Festival of Ballooning will be right here in Hunterdon County at the Solberg Airport in Readington. This is the 32nd year for the festival and it is sure to impress with family friendly entertainment through out the entire weekend.
During the day there will be amusement park rides, high diving shows, a visit from Disney star Dylan Riley Snyder, a concert on Saturday afternoon by Hot Chelle Rae, an appearance by Joan Jett & the Black hearts on Sunday afternoon, and of course over 100 hot air balloons of all shames and sizes ascending together twice a day at 6:30 am and 6:30 pm. The night is filled with amazing concerts from America on Friday night followed by a fireworks display and 3 doors down on Saturday with a balloon glow to fill the night sky. There are also teen concerts and supporting acts throughout the weekend.
Sunday is health and wellness day and kicks off with a running with the balloons 5k race. There will be yoga and jazzercise classes available as well. At the festival you can learn all about hot air ballooning and even purchase a hot air balloon ride.
