The calendar has officially turned to March which means it’s time to start planning your Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations!  From classes and festivals to parades and pub crawls, there are plenty of ways to partake in the festivities happening in Hunterdon and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re Irish, or just Irish at heart, there’s no wrong way to celebrate, so pick out your best green shirt, grab your friends, and may your day be touched by some Irish luck!

EVENTS

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner

When: March 18th, 7:00 – 9:00 PM

Where: Brook Hollow Winery | 594 State Highway 94, Columbia, New Jersey

Get your St. Patrick’s Day fix with a traditional Irish meal courtesy of Brook Hollow Winery! The winery will be providing a delicious dinner of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and soda bread. The night’s festivities won’t end there! Live music will accompany your meal throughout the evening as well. Wine is not included in meal price but can be bought by the glass or bottle. Eat-In or Take-Out is available.

Cryan’s Tavern

When: March 7th – 17th

Where: Cryan’s Tavern | 2 Beaver Ave, Annandale, NJ 08801

Cryan’s Tavern is one of the area’s most beloved Irish pubs and they have St. Patty’s Day celebrations that will keep you and your friends busy for an entire week! Starting on March 7th and running through the 16th, Cryan’s will be running their “Luck of the Irish” giveaways. If you find one of their “Luck of the Irish” stickers on your coaster, your cocktail is on the house! On March 12th, they are hosting Parade Day featuring Celtic Rebels at 4:00 PM plus Irish step dancers and bagpipers. The Jimmy Farrel Band will be playing on St. Patrick’s Day at 12:30 and all week long Cryan’s will be offering traditional Irish fare, drinks, and prizes!

Na’ Badach! Performance 

When: March 17th, 4:00 – 10:00 PM

Where: The Dubliner On The Delaware | 34 N Main St, New Hope, PA 18938

With their use of electric guitar, electronic Deger pipes, electro-acoustic fiddle, and six-man vocal range, Na’Bodach give their attendees an experience in Celtic music they won’t forget!  Take in this accomplished local band on St. Patrick’s Day night at The Dubliner On the Delaware in New Hope. They are true to tradition and culture, yet they always throw in a few drams of high octane to create a truly eclectic musical mix.

PARADES

Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick Parade & After-Party

When: March 12th, 3:00 PM

Where: Main Street Clinton, NJ 08809

The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Eighth Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place the Sunday before St. Patrick’s day and feature over 40 marching units consisting of pipe and drum bands from all over the area.  The parade will also feature Civil War re-enactors, horses, dogs, and local community groups. This is a family-friendly, fun day and it’s free. Following the parade, check out their family-friendly after-party at the historic Red Mill from 4:00 – 8:30 PM. The party will feature entertainment from The Amish Outlaws and Irish step dancers. There will be a hot dog truck and beer truck on site as well as a brown bag dinner with corned beef sandwich, mac and cheese, and soda bread.

The after-party is a ticketed event. Adults are $50, anyone under 21 years old is $15, and kids under 10 are free. Tickets purchased the day of the event are $60 and $15, respectively. Tickets are available at The Town Restaurant and JD Liquors in Clinton.
