Take a Ride on the Black River & Western Railroad

The “Black River Limited” is the classic round-trip excursion between Flemington and Ringoes in rural Hunterdon County, NJ. Whether you begin your trip from Flemington or Ringoes, the trip is about 20 minutes in each direction, plus a 15-20 minute stop to turn the train around. This is a fun excursion to take dad on!

Sunday musicians feature a line-up of acoustic solos, duos and the occasional trio. Sunday Picnic is hosted outdoors from April – November. Walk-ins are welcome all day or book a wine tasting reservation for an indoor 1.5 hour reservation. Wine is available by the bottle or by the glass all day on Sundays. Children are welcome!

See a Show at Music Mountain Theatre

See Something Rotten at Music Mountain Theatre with dad. Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz. Something Rotten features large song and dance numbers, and a wacky cast of over-the-top characters.
