Hosting a Super Bowl Party at your house can be really fun, as long as you’re prepared. There are a few simple things you can do to make the day less stressful for you as a host, and exciting and enjoyable for your guests!

  • Decorate the party space! Grab a couple balloons and signs in the color of your team and add them to the area where people will be eating and watching the game.
  • Order takeout (pizza and wings) from your favorite place.
  • Prepare “grab and go” foods and appetizers. Make it easy and opt for finger food that’s easy to serve and eat on the couch.
  • Make it festive. Purchase football-themed cups, plates and napkins and get creative with styling.
  • Serve a signature drink. Incorporate the team’s colors and come up with a fun name for it!
  • Make a slow-cooker meal like chili. This can be kept warm on the counter and served all evening.
  • Have snack food available at all times. Great options are chips and dip, nuts, pretzels and veggie trays.
  • For desert, opt for grab and go items like cookies. Chances are, most people will be sitting on the couch and eating. Food items that can be eaten with hands, rather than a fork are much easier to enjoy.
  • Keep extra party food available to refill dishes as the night goes on.
  • Serve drinks in coolers in the party area. This will keep guests out of your fridge.
  • Designate a space for garbage and let your guests know.
