When the Stockton Inn abruptly closed at the end of July, locals were left wondering what would come of the historic inn, which has been serving the community for over 300 years.

On September 2, 2014, owner Mitch Millet announced his plan to reopen in the next 4 to 5 weeks on a limited basis. Due to repairs and projects, the Stockton Inn will currently only serve dinner Thursdays through Mondays, starting at 5:30 p.m. each day except Sunday, when it will open at 4 p.m. Lunch and brunch service is expected to return in spring 2015, along with a major “change to culture.”

Interested applicants can apply to become part of the all-new staff through the inn’s website.

What do you think Hunterdon? Are you excited to see the major “change to culture” at the Stockton Inn? Sound off in the comments!
