Tabby’s Place resident Jonathan invites you to Chip or Treat

Are black cats your favorite part of Halloween? Tabby’s Place in Ringoes has just the treat for you. On Saturday, October 13th, from 12-4pm, Tabby’s Place will host Chip or Treat, a free microchipping clinic and celebration of the cat sanctuary’s 15th anniversary.

Cats and dogs alike will be welcome at the free microchipping clinic. Microchipping can mean the difference between heartbreak and a happy reunion if a pet runs away. Tabby’s Place is offering this service at no cost, as a thank you for the community’s generous support over the past 15 years. Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, October 10th at microchip.tabbysplace.org.

But chips are just one of many treats available at this festive family event. Get the whole family in costume (pets too!) to compete for prizes in a friendly costume contest. You can also enjoy self-guided tours of Tabby’s Place, complete with trick-or-treating for kids, and fall refreshments.

Best of all, pet lovers will celebrate 15 years of saving the neediest members of our community…and help support the next 15 and beyond. Since October 2003, Tabby’s Place has been a cage-free, no-kill haven for cats from hopeless situations. The unique sanctuary embraces kitties regardless of age, most medical issues, or temperament, making it a harbor of hope for the most desperate. Over 100 lovable cats will be available for adoption during the event. And you can always “treat” the cats with a donation to the sanctuary.

Tabby’s Place: a Cat Sanctuary is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization located at 1100 US Highway 202, Ringoes, NJ. For more information, click here.
