Stockton Market will host a cookbook signing and tasting event of the highly anticipated book “Onions Etcetera: The Essential Allium” by Kate Winslow and Guy Ambrosino. The Market will welcome guests on Saturday, April 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in conjunction with Farley’s Bookshop to partake in an exciting recipe sampling and book lecture at New Jersey’s premier year-round destination for the best in local and artisanal fare.

Whether it is the delight in the hunt for ramps, a favorite heirloom Cipollini, the spice of raw garlic, or the sweetness of caramelized onions, readers have come to the right place with “Onions Etcetera.” The book offers more than 150 of Kate Winslow’s and Guy Ambrosino’s favorite recipes for storage and sweet onions, scallions, shallots, ramps, chives, garlic and more, gathered over years of traveling, exploring, cooking and eating with friends and family. Featured recipes celebrate this essential, ubiquitous ingredient utilizing varietals from places as far-flung as Cuba (bistec palomillo), Turkey (onion and parsley salad), Korea (kalbi) and Pittsburgh (pierogi, of course).

“Onions Etcetera: The Essential Allium Cookbook” and tasting event will take place on Saturday, April 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Stockton Market located at 19 Bridge Street in Stockton, NJ. This event is free and open to the public to attend. One hundred percent of “Onions Etcetera’s” after-tax publishing profits go to Wholesome Wave, an incredible non-profit organization that works to connect underserved consumers with fresh, local food, especially produce.
