On Thursday, September 18th, from 6:00 –8:30 pm, Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes, NJ will host “Sip, Sit & Stay,” an evening of wine tasting, gourmet fare and live music, set outdoors on the winery’s 88.7 acres of scenic property. All proceeds of the event benefit Animal Alliance of NJ and the operations at the nonprofit agency’s low cost spay/neuter & vaccine clinic, Planned Pethood and The Robert W. Curts Memorial Pet Adoption Center in Lambertville. Pet owners, regardless of income, can get basic wellness care such as vaccines and spay/neuter surgery to keep their pet healthy as well as prevent pet overpopulation from unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. Planned Pethood performs approximately 4,000 surgeries yearly, and Animal Alliance adopts out 300-500 pets per year placed in permanent adoptive homes.
Guests of the event will mingle on the patio and learn some local history while tasting a variety of red, white, artisan and dessert wines served by Unionville’s staff of informative wine enthusiasts. Authentic Italian fare will be generously donated by the legendary DeAnna’s Restaurant in Lambertville, well known for their homemade pasta, fresh fish, use of local organic greens and homemade desserts. “A Swingin’ Affair” will entertain the crowd and their performance of popular standards in Sinatra style will make “Sip, Sit & Stay” a memorable evening out.
