The New Jersey sky will soon be filled with the color of 100 hot hair balloons for the 36th Annual New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, sponsored by Quickchek. The events are scheduled July 27 through July 29. It will feature entertainment on the ground as well as in the sky. The line up of bands includes Andy Grammer, Lifehouse, Creedence Clearwater Revisited and Laurie Berkner playing for kids on Friday, June 27 at 1:30 p.m.
This will be the 36th year in a row that up to 100 balloons add their colors to the sky over New Jersey’s festival grounds during the weekend-long QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning. The balloons take flight during five mass ascensions at the break of dawn and falling of dusk—expansive balloons mark the beginning and end of the day. This fest holds the dual distinction of being a recipient of The New Jersey Governor’s Award for Best Special Event, as well as being designated, for the 6th time, as a Top 100 Festival in North America by the American Bus Association.
The fest also hosts various vendors and arts-and-crafts activities, thrill acts, and family entertainment galore.
General Admission tickets are $30 for kids and $12 for adults. The price increases if purchased after the start of the festival.
