This fall, we asked locals to nominate Hunterdon County’s biggest Movers & Shakers. With dozens of amazing stories, our accomplished judges had their work cut out for them when it came to narrowing down the Top 10 Movers & Shakers of 2014!

With the official results in, we’re going to be taking a closer look at each winner and sharing their incredible stories. Meet Zee Entrabartolo of Califon, NJ, who attended the Capri Institute of Hair Design and founded The Hair to Share Foundation, which provides new, custom-fitted hair prosthetics to people who have lost their hair due to cancer.

HH: What motivates you every morning?

ZE: I am motivated each and every morning by being there for my family and helping others feel wonderful!

HH: What would you say is your idea of a perfect day?

ZE: My idea of the perfect day would be filled with sunshine, knowing that my family is happy and healthy, and making everyone I can  be filled with HAPPINESS that day!

HH: Who do inspires you?

ZE: My son, Mark, inspires me each and every second of each and every day. Mark is profoundly Autistic along with a plethora of other developmental issues, yet still finds the strength to smile and captures the essence of each day.

HH: How did you decide to go into your profession?

ZE: I have always had a love for making men and women look as beautiful and wonderful on the outside as they feel on the inside. It is amazing how a new, fresh look can turn around someone’s day.

HH: Which achievement are you most proud of?

ZE: My children are my first and brightest achievement to date. Then comes being the Founder of The Hair to Share Foundation and changing the lives of so many New Jersey residents!

HH: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome?

ZE: The biggest challenge I have had to overcome is to maintain a successful marriage and family life with a profoundly developmentally challenged child. Having to try to provide as much normalcy as possible for my older two children, as well as endure the judgment every day from others who don’t understand and fear the unknown. It has been a long road to make this all work. The daily care involved is tremendous and takes away from the relationship of the marriage – balancing that has become a skill.

HH: What is the biggest accomplishment that you’d like to achieve over the next 5 years?

ZE: My primary goal over the next 5 years is to ensure that all of my children are settled in their lives and are creating bright futures for themselves.

HH: How do you think your friends & coworkers would describe you?

ZE: Hmmmmm, I never really thought about this. I would hope they would say kind, giving, and trying to make a difference in other’s lives!

HH: Where’s your favorite place to go in Hunterdon County?

ZE: I absolutely love to visit the vineyards. My favorite being Beneduce Vineyards in Pittstown at the moment! I also love to visit all the wonderful small restaurants we have in the County.

HH: If you could go back in time and talk to yourself ten years ago, what advice would you give?

ZE: If I could go back in time and talk to Zee ten years ago, I would tell her that “It’s all good!” and to “Be patient and relax!”

Zee shared information with RVCC Nursing Students earlier this year regarding medically induced hair loss from chemotherapy and how the role of both synthetic and human hair wigs can breathe new life, opportunity, and perspective for someone going through it.
