Artist Heather Ujiie discusses her work at the Hunterdon Art Museum.

Artist Heather Ujiie will teach children how to create unique masks inspired by her exhibition, Fairytales, Monsters and Hybrid Creatures, at the Hunterdon Art Museum on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m.

This workshop encourages a parent/guardian and child, ages 6 and up, to work together to create their own mask. The afternoon starts with Ujiie leading a guided tour of her exhibition followed by mask making. All materials will be provided.

Ujiie’s solo exhibition runs until Jan. 8, 2017.

Ujiie is a full-time Interdisciplinary Assistant professor at Moore College of Art & Design Art & Design in Philadelphia, where she teaches across several disciplines including textile design.
