Fresh off the tails of the wildly successful Food Fair event, the Lambertville Area Chamber of Commerce is switching gears, encouraging interior designers and art enthusiasts to discover the hidden gems in their quaint river town. Over 40 retailers, galleries, and specialty shops are joining forces for this one-of-a-kind event, combining the best of local art and design with the region’s love of fine wines.

The event, originally slated for November 1st but moved to November 2nd for rain, entices retail guests with a FREE curated wine program. Each retailer will be serving one variety of wine, chosen to pair with the gallery’s unique style. Over 5 wineries and vineyards will be represented. Perhaps your taste is impressionist with pinot, or eclectic with cabernet. No matter what you like, Wine & Design will have the perfect pairing for you.

“Lambertville has long been a best-kept secret,” said Event Co-Chair and gallery owner, Jeffrey Meier. “We’re not only a mecca to interior designers, architects, art collectors and stylists – but to home decor enthusiasts from NYC to Philadelphia and beyond.”

Each visitor to the Wine & Design event will be given a colorful map to help them navigate to 40 local shops and their libations. Chamber of Commerce volunteers will be on staff to make sure guests are headed in the right direction.

Event Co-Chair, Ryan Spreen, is excited the direction the Chamber is headed, and looks forward to promoting the variety of retailers, restaurants, arts and music in town.

“Lambertville is like a magical treasure chest with no bottom,” said Spreen. “The more I dig in, the more treasure I find.”

Retailers and galleries are participating in Wine & Design are encouraged to offer a specialactivity on the day of the event – whether a class or seminar, a sommelier explaining a vine variety, or a hands-on workshop meant to unleash your inner artist.

Few events in the area have the ability to showcase this array of artist studios, antique shops, galleries, and design studios, all within walking distance, and all featuring both well-known favorite and new wine varieties.

Come out November 2nd from 3:00-9:00pm to check out the art and antiquesyou never knew were here – or the ones you always wanted to know better. Local musicians and area bands will be both on-street and within individual galleries for your entertainment.
