The Hunterdon Land Trust’s annual holiday Farmers’ Market will be held on Sunday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dvoor Farm, 111 Mine St. off the route 12 circle in Raritan Township.

This year, the holiday market includes:

  • New Jersey Audubon will be selling sunflower seeds, birdhouses and birdfeeders.
  • Whimsey Eco Chick will visit the market to sell eco-sustainable, re-purposed feed bags collected from nearly a dozen local zip codes.
  • Blue Mist Hollow Farm will sell holiday greenery.
  • Children’s author Felicia Sanzari Chernesky will return to the market with children’s activities (weather permitting) and her latest book, “Sugar White Snow and Evergreens: A Winter Wonderland of Color.”

Instrumental live music will be performed by Robert Viola. The producers only Farmers’ Market features roughly 20 local farmers and vendors offering vegetables, fruit, meat, cheese, bread, wine, honey, native seeds, alpaca goods and more.

Farmers’ Market sponsors are Basil Bandwagon Natural Market, Matt’s Red Rooster Grill, Tom McMillan with Weidel Realtors and Team Capital Bank.

This is the Land Trust’s final weekly Farmers’ Market for 2014. However, its winter Farmers’ Market will return for a third season this year beginning Sunday, Dec. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dvoor Farm. The market will be held the third Sunday of the month during the winter season.
