Craft shows are always popular this time of year. They’re a great way to support local small businesses and fellow members of the community, and you’re pretty much guaranteed to find gifts that the recipient won’t already have. Plus, spending a few hours walking around a craft show is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Home decor, personalized ornaments, handcrafted jewelry, artwork, candles and more. You’ll find a little of everything and something for just about everyone on your Gift List.

Hunterdon County is home to many artists and artisans whose creations make for spectacular holiday gifts. Here are a few places to find them this holiday season:

Flemington Fine Artisans Show

Where: Stangl Factory, 50 Stangl Road, Flemington
When: Sunday, Nov. 3  from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The show will feature a curated selection of more than 30 finest local artists.

Christmas Ornament/Decoration Workshop

Where: Hunterdon County Arboretum, 1020  Route 31, Lebanon
When: Tuesday, Nov.5 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Make your own ceramic Christmas ornaments focusing on textures found in nature, beginning with a nature walk.  No experience required.  Cost: $40 (includes materials and firing).

Holiday Eat and Shop

Where: St. Anna Greek Orthodox Church, 85 Voorhees Corner Road, Flemington
When: Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 17 from noon- 7 p.m.

A two-day craft and vendor fair featuring delicious Greek cuisine. Sponsored by the creators of the Hunterdon Happening List Winner Flemington Opa! Festival.Free admission and parking. Donations accepted for Flemington Food Pantry.

32nd Annual Branchburg Women’s Club Craft Sale

Where: Branchburg Central Middle School, 235 Baird Road, Branchburg
When: Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Hosted by the Branchburg Woman’s Club, the annual event features handmade crafts, a bake sale, refreshments and more. Free parking.$1 admission for adults.

Winter Festival

Where: Voorhees High School, 256 Route 513, Glen Gardner
When: Saturday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Now in its 10th year, more than 100 vendors will offer food, crafts and wares. First 1,000 adults to attend get a chance to win gift cards to local businesses. Great place for unique gifts.Proceeds benefit Voorhees High School Music Program.

Winter Village at the Red Mill Museum

Where: The Red Mill Museum, 56 Main Street, Clinton
When:  Friday, Nov. 29 from  9 a.m. – Sunday, Dec. 1 at  4 p.m.

This three-day German-style outdoor, tented and heated, winter craft market in the heart of Clinton features more than 40 local artisans, vintage peddlers, and food trucks.  It also features a silent auction fundraiser benefiting the museum’s preservation,  tours of 12 historic buildings on the museum’s  grounds  and performances by Clinton’s ‘Dickens Days’  theatrical carolers.  Cost is $10

Christmas Craft Bazaar

Where: High Bridge Reformed Church, 23 Church Street, High Bridge
When: Saturday, Nov. 30, beginning at 9 a.m.

Annual Christmas Craft Bazaar hosted by High Bridge Reformed Church featuring handmade gifts and cookies by the pound.

Califon Holiday Crafts and Vendor Fair

Where: Califon Fire Company, 41 Main Street, Califon
When: Saturday, Dec. 7 from  9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Grab that perfect holiday gift at this annual event that benefits the Dan Handy Memorial. Raffle items donated by crafters and vendors. Homemade baked goods also available. Event is free to get in.

JP Case and RFIS PTO’s Craft Market and Cookie Walk

Where: 301 Case Blvd., Flemington
When: Saturday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Get your holiday shopping and baking done at one time and location.

DRMS Holiday Fine Crafts and Art Show

Where: Prallsville Mills, 33 Risler Street, Stockton
When: Saturday, Dec. 7  from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m.-4p.m.

Annual fine craft and art show featuring artisans from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Cost $5.

Christmas Craft Market at Flemington United Methodist Church

When: Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Where: 116 Main Street, Flemington

This annual Christmas craft market features only handcrafted items. In addition, there will be homemade soups and baked goods for sale (dine in or carry out) and a silent auction.

Gift of Art Holiday Show

Where: 190 W. Main St., Somerville
When: Saturday, Dec. 7  from noon-6 p.m. and Sunday Dec. 8, noon-6 p.m.

Shop for one-of-a-kind gifts, including jewelry, painted clothing, ornaments, small paintings and drawings, bags, scarves, ceramics and tapestries.
