It shouldn’t come as a surprise that when you type into google “What do most people want?” one of the top answers is “happiness”.   A new study has surveyed people from all over the country asking,  “Are you happy?” in an attempt to find the cities with the most and the least happy people.

Those who live in or even visit the beautiful cities in Hunterdon county know how lovely the region is. The people here seem to enjoy life, in most cases they’ve chosen to slow down and enjoy beauty, art, and the many local businesses here. One would say the people of Hunterdon county are happy and the aforementioned study proves it.  Middlesex-Somerset Hunderdon, NJ comes in as number 10 on the list of happiest cities with a population of greater than 1 million.

So what makes happiness?   According to this study it’s not money.  The study shows that people will move to a place like New York City, named the least happy city in this case, for career/financial opportunity.  It also notes that declining cities have the least happy people and while that is no shock it is nice to know that Hunterdon is not one of those areas!
