Inspired by the Women’s Institute for Financial Education, 2015 Hunterdon Happening List winner Rosanne DeTorres Esq. has joined forces with a financial expert to help women navigate the challenges of ‘untying the knot’, by launching the nationally acclaimed Second Saturday divorce workshops in New Jersey.
The Second Saturday Divorce Workshops, so called because they take place on the second Saturday of each month, were developed to address the legal, financial, family and personal issues of divorce in a logical, yet compassionate way. With permission from WIFE.org Rosanne DeTorres Esq. and Jody D’Agostini, CFP®, CDFA™ launched the monthly workshops in May at Raritan Valley Community College.
Ms. DeTorres explains, “Divorce is not easy, and we are proud to affiliate with WIFE.org to provide the Second Saturday workshops. Second Saturday provides a great opportunity for women to acquire non-biased, straightforward information and options to help them focus on what they need to do legally and financially through a difficult time in their lives.”
In addition to Ms. DeTorres and Ms. D’Agostini, a guest therapist will be present to provide help with the emotional issues of divorce. Program materials have been developed with care and are the result of over twenty-five years’ experience of Second Saturday workshops around the country.
The Divorce Workshop will be held every second Saturday at Raritan Valley Community College, with the next one on June 13th. The seminars run from 8.30 a.m. with registration beginning at 8:15 a.m. The fee of $45 is payable at the door, however preregistration is encouraged and is available online at: http://www.danddfamilylaw.com.
