3rd Annual Hot Sauce Festival at Schaefer Farms

When: Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 1051 County Rd 523, Flemington

This event has something for everyone: Hot sauce eating contest, pumpkin patch hayrides, salsa making contest, hot pop lick-a-thon, corn and hay mazes, hot spiked sweet corn eating contest, daisy belle bounce house, laser tag shooting gallery, corn cannons and more. $10 per carload. Harvest Festival at Old York Cellars Winery

When: Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: 80 Old York Road, Ringoes

Come to the winery for an weekend of music, food, arts & crafts vendors, children’s activities and more! There will be tank & barrel tastings as well as vineyard, winery and beehive tours and hayrides. Admission is $15, $10 for non-drinkers and free for kids under 12. Purchase tickets here.

Milford Alive!

When: Saturday, September 21 from noon to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Downtown Milford

Hosted by the Milford Merchants Association, the Happening List winning event features street music, art, food, crafts, a wacky “bed race,” puppet show, duck race and topping it off – fireworks. Celebrate the history, culture and promise of this quaint Delaware River town in Milford, NJ. For more information visit milfordalive.com.

Tewksbury Harvest Festival

When: Saturday, September 21 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Christie Hoffman Park, 108 Fairmount Road West, Califon

The Tewksbury Harvest Festival kicks off this year with a concert by Green Planet. Patrons pay $20 per carload, which includes hot air balloon rides, pony rides, hayrides, petting zoo, live entertainment, children’s crafts, exhibitions, classic car show, free snacks and the handmade craft show. Proceeds benefit Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad and the Friends of the Tewksbury Library.

Flemington Raritan Baseball Fall Fest & Cornhole Tournament

When: Saturday, September 21 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Flemington Raritan Baseball Fields, 45 William Street, Flemington

Come compete or just enjoy a good time! Register in teams of two, either for ages 13 through 17 ($30 per team) or over 18 years ($60 per team). There will also be free play and activities for ages 9 through 13. The event includes live music, cash and door prizes, beer on tap, snack shack specials, a movie on the field, pumpkin painting, whiffle ball, train rides from Black River & Western, and more. Autumnal Equinox Hike and Yoga

When: Sunday, September 22 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Where: Charlestown Reserve, 40 Charlestown Road, Hampton

Join instructor Lisa Perry and reconnect to the beauty of nature and to your own inner peace during this exploration of a Hunterdon County parks. The session includes a silent hike with pauses for yoga positions along the way. Beginners are welcome.  Bring a towel or mat to sit on. Once you have found your Zen, you may want to continue exploring the park further on your own. This event is $16 per person. Pre-registration is required. Hunterdon Land Trust’s 23rd Farm to Table Gala

When: Sunday, September 22 at 5 p.m.
Where: Beaver Brook Country Club, 25 Country Club Road, Annandale

This year’s event features a full-course dinner prepared by Chef Matt McPherson of Matt’s Red Rooster Grill and desserts by Nicole Martini of Sweetini’s Cake Shop. Tickets cost $150 each. Proceeds benefit the Hunterdon Land Trust. Find out more at this link.
