Hunterdon Bird Club Bird Walk

When: Saturday, October 5 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Where: Spruce Run Recreation Area, 68 Van Syckels Road, Clinton

Meet at the Tower parking lot (1st right after the park entrance booths). Open to all, no experience required. Join for 15 minutes or 3 hours. The walk will start at Spruce Run but may also visit the adjacent wildlife management area.

Flemington Flea Market & Sidewalk Sale

When: Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Flemington Filling Station, 144 Main Street, Flemington

Amazing antiques, collectibles, and fun finds will be available for sale at the Flemington Filling Station, Camp Flemington Antiques,  AND there will be sidewalk sales throughout town (SOME businesses open till 6 pm)! Join the treasure hunt!

HOBART Fall 2019

When: Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 718 County Road 519, Frenchtown

The Fall 2019 HOBART art show will feature some of the area’s leading sculptors and artists spanning the Delaware river region from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The show offers a unique opportunity to experience sculpture installations by contemporary artists in a magnificent outdoor private setting, amongst rolling hills and beautiful native landscape. Both an indoor and outdoor show, guests are invited to explore the property’s several outbuildings, including a historic antique barn which will house the show’s painting and illustration exhibit. All artwork is for sale directly from the artists.

Artists included are sculptors Oki Fukunaga, Harry Gordon, Wendy Gordon, Bruce Lindsay, Rory Mahon, and Steven Snyder; mixed media artist Aylin Green; painter and illustrator Lauren Johnson; and painter and graphic designer Mike Pantuso.

Art & Antiques Weekend in Lambertville

When: Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and October 6
Where: Downtown Lambertville

Come stroll around and check out all the great Arts & Antique shops in town, meet the artists working in their studios, meet the antique dealers & designers, music, and light refreshments around town.

Oktoberfest at The National Hotel

When: Saturday, October 5 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: 31 Race Street, Frenchtown

The National Hotel is celebrating 10 years under the ownership of Pete and Marie D’Costa with an Oktoberfest party! Open Mic All Stars, Mister Revelator and Rainbow Fresh will be performing. There will be an outside beer truck and wine served, plus food inside. No cover.

Spookyfest

When: Saturday, Oct. 5 from 1 p.m.-11 p.m.
Where: All Star Music Empire, 17 Minneakonig Road, Flemington

Costume contest, prize giveaways and haunted festival filled with ghouls, ghosts and goblins. Show up hungry. Tickets are $20 in advance, $30 at the door.

Great Pumpkin Arrives at Music Mountain Theater

When: Saturdays, Oct. 5 – Oct. 26  at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Where: Music Mountain Theater, 1483 Route 173, Lambertville

Partake in this interactive Halloween event that includes silly skits and spooky songs such as Purple People Eater and Monster Mash and meet the Great Pumpkin. Guests who arrive early can participate in the skits. Costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $8.

Hunterdon Fall Festival

When: Saturday, October 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Horseshoe Bend Park, 198 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Frenchtown

Kick off the festivities with HippoCross Cyclocross which features some of the best amateur cyclists in the area. Enjoy great music and food from local restaurants, food trucks and a beer garden hosted by River Horse Brewing. For cyclists wanting to enjoy the fall foliage, sign up for one of three routes that take you through the best roads and scenery in Hunterdon County.
