“Take Me Away” at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse

When: Saturday, March 30 at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Where: 88 Route 173 West, Hampton

“Take Me Away” is a Sherlock Holmes murder mystery musical complete with a live orchestra. This immersive event includes a show, table-served meal, dessert buffet, coffee or tea, tax and gratuity. Tickets for the lunch matinee are $72.50 and Saturday dinner is $82.50. Get tickets here.

Sci-Fi Day at Black River & Western Railroad

When: Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Where: Stangl and State Route 12, Flemington

Join BR&W and the 501st Legion for a train ride in support of United Way. Purchase your train ticket and bring along a donation for United Way, then meet some of your favorite Sci-Fi characters! There will be plenty of photo ops and lots of time to visit with the characters. The 501st Legion is an all-volunteer organization that seeks to promote interest in Star Wars and support their local community through charity and volunteer work. United Way is seeking donations of new bed sheets, bath towels, washcloths, hand towels and dish towels. These items are distributed directly to families in need right here in Hunterdon County. Donations are not required to ride the train, but are strongly encouraged. Tickets are $8 for children ages 3 through 11 and $16 for adults and children over 12.

Open Mic at Zoup! At the Shoppes at Flemington

When: Saturday, March 30 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: 100 Reaville Avenue, Flemington

Zoup! Soup, Salad and Sandwich Restaurant is hosting its weekly Saturday night showcase for local area comics and musicians. Ages 16+ for performers and audience. Contact MC David Sobel at DJSOBES@gmail.com for listing information.

Clay Handbuilding Workshop at Gone Paintin’

When: Sunday, March 31 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Where: 14 Commerce Street, Flemington

Gone Paintin’ is hosting a clay workshop for kids featuring an adorable bunny holding a carrot in its ears. After rolling and shaping their clay, kids can choose the colors they want to paint it. They will get it back with a string to hang and display for Easter. This event is geared for children ages 7 and up. If your child is younger, they can participate, but you will need to stay to assist. Register by March 29. This event is $25 each.
