It’s the final weekend before Christmas, the Winter Solstice and Hanukkah begins on Sunday night! So you KNOW there’s fun to be had in Hunterdon County. An Evening with Santa at Chirp Workshop

When: Friday, December 20 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: 32 Fulper Road, Flemington

This is Chirp’s most popular event of the year, and there are only a few tickets left! Bring your child to enjoy a genuine visit from Santa where he will answer your child’s questions, read a story and hand out a special gift. (This isn’t a time for photos.) After Santa leaves, you can enjoy hot cocoa and cookies. Wear pajamas! Tickets are $25. (Parents and children under 2 are free.) Register here.

Annual Music Mountain Theater Big Band Holiday Concert

When: Friday, Dec. 20, 8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 21, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 22, 3 p.m.
Where: 1483 Route 179, Lambertville

A festive evening of song and dance combining quintessential holiday music, played live by a 17-piece big band, and performed by some of your favorite MMT personalities. Tickets are $23-25 and can be purchased here. 

All is Calm, the Christmas Truce of 1914

When: Friday, Dec. 20, 7:30 p.m.-10 p.m.
Where: South Hunterdon Regional High School, 301 Mt. Airy-Harbourton Road, Lambertville

Franklin Theatre Works , Ensemble Theatre of NJ brings to life a true story of the Christmas Truce of World War I. Tickets  $18-25.

A Charlie Brown Christmas at Music Mountain Theatre

When: Saturday, December 21 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Where: 1482 Route 179, Lambertville

The classic animated television special comes to life in this faithful stage adaptation. Join Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the whole Peanuts gang as they produce their own Christmas play, and ultimately learn the true meaning of the season. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased here.

Santa Claus Holiday Celebration at Beaver Brook County Club

When: Saturday, December 21 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: 25 Country Club Drive, Annandale

Have a jolly good time with Santa Claus! Meet Santa and take your own photos, have yummy eats and sip your creation from the hot cocoa bar. There will also be crafts, holiday photos booths and some local vendors for last-minute shopping. This event is open to the public. Tickets are $15 for adults; $8 for children 4 and up, and free for children 3 and under. Purchase tickets here.

Winter Solstice Sacred Sound Healing Meditation

When: Saturday, Dec. 21 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Where: RiverSoul Yoga, 23 Bridge Street, Milford

Winter Solstice

A special two-hour class to celebrate the longest night of the year and the subsequent return of light. Turn inward as the season calls us to do, soften into yoga postures accompanied by award-winning musicianHeidi Breyer.

8th Annual Community Solstice Sing

When: Saturday, Dec. 21
Where: The Birdhouse Center for the Arts, 7 N. Main Street, Lambertville

Co-founders Bronwyn Bird and Justin Nawn  lead an evening of carols, sea chanteys, pub songs, rousing gospel tunes, and old favorites. Bring your family, favorite drinks/food and friends for a cozy evening of community celebration.  Featured performers include the “Historical Harmonies/Colonial Revelers” the “Not Just Nyckelharpa Orchestra” and more. Refreshments will be provided additional snacks and beverages are welcome. Tickets: $5

Skate with Santa at Flemington Ice Arena

When: Sunday, December 22 from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 426 Case Boulevard, Flemington

Come skate with Santa and his elves! There will be skating, music and pictures. Admission is $10, skate rental is $5.

 “Under Construction” Chanukah Party

When: Sunday, December 22 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Chabad of Hunterdon County, 56 Payne Road, Lebanon

Celebrate the holiday with a uniquely themed party! Participate in live building of a giant menorah. Enjoy wood working Chanukah crafts. Personalize a hard hat. Dig for gelt, and compete in the inflatable wrecking ball challenge. Plus, there will be tasty treats! Tickets are $12 per person. Register here.

Magician & Chanukah Dinner

When: Sunday, Dec. 22 from 4:30 p.m.- 7 p.m.
Where: Flemington Jewish Community Center, 5 Sergeantsville Road, Flemington

The evening begins with a group candle lighting, followed by a magic show and holiday dinner. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students, and children under 4 are free. RSVP requested. Get more info here.
