Hunterdon County YMCA

This summer, the Hunterdon County YMCA’s day camp program is offering kids an enriching, learning experience to help them get more out of summer break – more friendships, more accomplishments and more belonging. Through a mix of fun and educational activities aimed at improving well-being, kids will experience new adventures, learn and master new skills, share and trade interests with friends, exchanging plenty of high-fives along the way.

The Y’s day camp activities focus on impacting the social-emotional, cognitive and physical development of all kids. The Hunterdon County YMCA offers camp at YMCA Camp Carr in Clinton Township, Sports Camp at the Deer Path Branch in Flemington, South Camp at South Hunterdon High School in Lambertville, and Kinder Camp at the Round Valley Branch in Annandale. There are over 20 specialty camp options, including travel camp, horseback riding, Mad Science, Bricks 4 Kidz, basketball, ballet, tennis, golf, flag football, extreme sports, baseball, cheerleading, bowling, soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse, as well as traditional day camps. Before and after care is available and transportation is available for Sports Camp and Camp Carr. To ensure that all youth have the chance to experience camp, the Hunterdon County YMCA offers financial assistance to those in need.

All Children’s Theatre Clinton “BROADWAY KIDS” Camp

All Children’s Theatre operated it’s first Clinton Theatre Day Camp in 1996 and is returning again this summer from August 17th – August 28th for another BROADWAY KIDS Camp, “Where Every Child Is a Star.

The camp operates at the air-conditioned Fellowship Hall of the Clinton Presbyeterian Church located at 91 Center Street in Clinton from August 17th – August 28th. It runs Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. Boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 17 with or without experience may register.

The camp is a two week musical theatre arts experience with singing, dancing, staging, acting, scenery painting, rehearsals all culminating in a spectacular camp performance for family and friends on the evening of August 28th. Children will be learning numerous Broadway show tunes songs, along with movement and the painting of  a beautiful mural of Broadway. Supervision is provided by state certified teachers with extensive experience in children’s theatre.

Camp NAC at the Newtown Athletic Club

Camp NAC at the Newtown Athletic Club is the perfect place for all kids 3 to 15 years old to spend their summer! Campers have the option of signing up for only certain weeks or for a whole summer of fun. There are endless options to choose from at Camp NAC! They offer both half and full day camps, including specialty camps, which include your camper spending their entire week exploring their favorite activities (K’Nex, Robots, Gymnastics, Dance, Cooking and much more!). Along with these specialty camps, Camp NAC offers Camp NACster our more traditionally styles variety camp where campers participate in something different everyday!

Additional options are also available to add to your camper’s experience. Options including Before Care (7am-9am), After Care (3pm-6pm), Lunch packages, and Swim Lessons that provide both a convenient and fun to the summer. Families of campers are also welcome to visit the world class outdoor pool complex at the NAC from 3-8 p.m. for the weeks their campers are enrolled in camp (excluding July 4th).

Solebury School

Solebury School Day Camp allows young people to explore a variety of activities, to learn and to discover. Campers participate in activities such as swimming, sports, art, science, computers every day. Each week has a larger event to provide campers with a special experience. These include trips, a carnival, Spirit Week, a Talent Show, and the annual Campout. Prizes are awarded for fair play, kindness, and participation. The Solebury School believes that at these ages, campers should be encouraged to try new things, that beyond teaching them skills in the various activities, it is their job to teach them how to be part of a group and to work together.

Registration is flexible as families can sign up for any combination of weeks. Their youngest campers are 4 years old, and the oldest are entering 7th grade. To ensure safety, there is a 3 to 1 camper to staff member ratio. A professional chef prepares a wonderful lunch (both hot items and a full salad and deli bar) and 2 snacks each day for all the campers (all peanut free). Bucks County Racquet Club Tennis Camp

Just across the river, Bucks County Racquest Club (BCRC) offers a beautiful 6 indoor, 5 outdoor tennis facility nestled on 13 scenic acres in the heart of historic Washington Crossing, PA. BCRC offers year ’round Tennis Academy programs and leagues for Juniors and Adults of all playing levels. BCRC’s popular summer camp for Juniors is dedicated to providing professional tennis instruction that emphasizes hard work on the court and fun both on and off the court.

Camp highlights include:  stroke development, competitive matches, court strategy, overview of tennis rules and good sportsmanship, fun tennis games and weekly treats for campers!

3 summer programs are offered.  Pick and choose days that work best for your schedule:

  • Cross Court Kid’s Camp:  Ages 4-7 yrs – 9am to 12pm – July 6 thru August 14
  • Junior Tennis Camp:  Ages 8-17 yrs. – 9am to 1pm – June 22 thru August 21
  • Jr. Tournament Training/Matchplay Camp (for Intermediate to Advanced players) – 1:30 to 3:30pm – June 22 thru August 21.
