Flemington’s own Kimi Goetz was part of the team that broke the American Record by over 3 seconds in the 3000m relay at The World Cup sessions at the ISU World Cup Calgary

Kimi Goetz alongside Katherine Reutter (Champaign, Ill.), Kristen Santos (Fairfield, Conn.), and Jessica Kooreman (Melvindale, Mich.) squaring off against Canada, Hungary and Poland.

The Canadians led for all but one of the 27 laps and set the pace. The one lap they didn’t lead was led by Team USA. When it was all said and done the U.S. team crossed the line in 4:08.408, setting an American Record. Alyson Dudek, Lana Gehring, Emily Scott and Kooreman set the previous record of 4:11.661 on October 20, 2012 in Calgary.
