Brenn Swanson teaches a child how to use a Chinese yoyo at last year’s HAM It Up!

Fun art projects, live music, a balloon artist, a plate spinner and more will entertain families at the Hunterdon Art Museum’s fourth annual HAM It Up! community day on Sunday, Feb. 12 from 1 to 4 p.m.

And it’s all free! This year’s HAM It Up! event invites children and adults to participate in an assortment of family-fun art like making snow globes and paper hearts. To help you dream about warmer weather, visitors are invited to make spring flowers which will fill one of the Museum’s art studios. Easels will be set up in the Museum where adults and children can stop and draw various still lifes.

Also, HCESC Campus at Hoffman’s Crossing in Califon will bring along several of their alpacas to greet guests as they enter the Museum.
HAM It Up! features live music Christina Alessi & Jonathan Andrew. You can learn more about them at www.christinaalessi.com.

Anyone who’s ever wanted to try spinning plates, ropes or a Chinese yoyo will enjoy visiting with performer Brenn Swanson. And, enjoy a fun twist on balloon animals with Dan the Balloon Man of Party Artisans, who will shape and design a bevy of cool critters for kids.

Flavorganics, lead sponsor of HAM It Up!, will offer samples of its organic syrups to please your palate. Additional HAM It Up! sponsors are The Provident Bank Foundation and Citispot Tea and Coffee.

Participating HAM faculty members include: Wendy Hallstrom, Rion Hoffman, Nan Krochta, Lena Shiffman and Liz Tracey.

No advanced registration is necessary. For more information, visit the Museum’s website at www.hunterdonartmuseum.org or call 908-735-8415.
