What Is Zumba?
Zumba is a fun and effective dance-based workout that incorporates interval training (alternating slow and fast rhythms) along with resistance training for maximum calorie burn. It is great for the body and is a ‘feel good‘ workout for your mind. Zumba classes will get you started on becoming healthier and achieving your fitness goals.
What Should I Wear To Class?
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that give you support. The studio requests that all shoes be worn ONLY indoors to be eligible for use in the facility. A water bottle and sweat towel are also good things to bring with you.
What shape do I have to be in to take a Zumba class? Do you offer an advanced or beginner class?
Zumba is for all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. We do not offer classes based on beginner level or advanced level. Zumba should be easy enough for all to follow along. Does this mean you will perform all moves with precise execution at your first few classes? Absolutely not.
The goal is for YOU to have fun, and as you continue to attend class you will get more of a workout increasing your strength, mobility, and fitness level without plateauing. Modifications are easily made for students who need higher or lower impact levels.
