This class is taught by experienced outdoor trip leaders and emergency responders from BSA Venturing Crew 6194, an Emergency Care and Safety Institute authorized training center. Through lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and hands-on skill scenarios, participants will learn how to assess, treat, and prevent common backcountry emergencies. Participants will receive a waterproof copy of the Wilderness First Aid Field Guide, supplemental handouts, and other class materials. Pre-registration required.
