The Delaware River Mill Society is delighted to announce that tickets have gone on sale for its annual Progressive Dinner, a cherished rite of spring that provides a significant portion of the annual support for maintaining the Prallsville Mills complex along the Delaware River.
The dinner begins on Saturday, April 4th at 5:00 pm with a cocktail party at the Grist Mill, the key building in the Prallsville Mills complex. At 7:30, phase two begins as attendees move to supporter’s homes for dinners. Tickets are $175 a person for the whole affair, or $100 a person for cocktails and auction only and can be purchased at prallsvillemills.org.
“The Progressive Dinner is our annual celebration of spring,” said Elizabeth Japchen, Executive Director of the Delaware River Mill Society, which operates the complex. “We encourage our neighbors along the Delaware River towns to join us as we celebrate Prallsville Mills and their part of our history and ongoing community life.”
In the opening cocktail party, attendees will enjoy a signature cocktail, open bar and hors d’oeuvres and have the opportunity to bid on dozens of items donated by area businesses and artists for a silent and live auction. Items include overnight stays at some of the area’s finest bed and breakfasts, handmade jewelry, live edge wood work, and many wonderful luxury experiences.
Supporters of the dinner include Thompson Lexus, the Black Bass Hotel and Lumberville General Store, Shoprite of Flemington, Wells Fargo Advisers, Finkles, The Stockton Market, River Valley Realty, Rago Auction House, Borden Perlman, and Animal Alliance.
The Prallsville Mills complex in Stockton, NJ, is considered a significant example of early American industrial architecture that was included on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
