Bats have a reputation as being spooky or even fearsome, but they are actually some of the most amazing and beneficial animals to people.  Don’t be scared… Join us for an evening bat program at Echo Hill on August 21.  We’ll learn all about these fascinating flying mammals, their importance to our communities, and work being done to conserve them here in the Garden State from NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife biologist MacKenzie Hall.  After the slideshow, we’ll head outside to watch for bats over the fields and pond at nightfall with the help of an acoustic bat detector. Pre-registration is required.
