Three-dimensional Canvas Sculpture

Three-dimensional Canvas Sculpture

The gallery at Don’t Toss It, a locally owned and operated creative reuse marketplace, boutique and gallery located in the Spoke Works Building at 204 North Union Street in Lambertville, is currently featuring an exhibit of works by Julianne Kelley.

Julianne’s bold-colored, three-dimensional canvases depict a bird’s eye view of nature using assemblages of found, discarded and reclaimed materials. Originally a strategic, photorealist draftswoman and portrait artist, Julianne has been steadily challenging herself into more expressive, three-dimensional canvas sculpture.

It was divine fortune that Julianne and her mother were the first customers to walk through Don’t Toss It’s doors when the creative reuse marketplace opened in November. According to the multi-media artist, “Don’t Toss It is one of my new favorite places of inspiration.”

Julianne graduated with a Bachelor of fine Arts from St. Joseph’s University in 2010 and got her MFA in 2013 from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

This exhibition is open to the public Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through March 1, 2014.
