Take a night off from cooking on Oct. 9 and come to Voorhees High School’s “Dine Italian,” a fund-raising dinner that benefits Project Graduation, an alcohol- and drug-free graduation party for the Class of 2016. The dinner includes all-you-can-eat homemade Italian entrees, salad, bread, desserts and beverages. The dinner will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Voorhees High School, 256 County Road 513, Glen Gardner. After dinner, catch the Voorhees Vikings as they take on Cranford for the homecoming game, which begins at 7 p.m.

You can dine in the cafeteria or take your food to go. The cost is $9 for adults and $6 for senior citizens and students. Children under 5 dine in for free.

Tickets are available at the door, but you can avoid the lines and get a discount by paying in advance. Send a note indicating your name, contact phone and email, and the number of adults, students and senior citizens. Send a check payable to VHS PTSO for $8 for each adult and $5 for each student and senior citizen to Voorhees High School PTSO, Attn: Dine Italian, 256 County Route 513, Glen Gardner, NJ 08826.
For the first time, Dine Italian is also offering the option to order ahead for takeout.

Main course options are: lasagna, ziti, spaghetti and cavatelli with broccoli; extras include meatballs, salad, bread and dessert. Send a note indicating your choice of entrée and extras, approximate pick-up time and contact information (phone and email) to DineItalian@gmail.com. If you pay in advance, you also receive the prepay discount, with adult meals costing $8 and $5 for senior citizens, students and other children. To prepay, mail your order along with a check payable to VHS PTSO to the address above. For more information, send an email to DineItalian@gmail.com.
