Rob Jones, a decorated double amputee Marine who recently shared his inspirational story through the documentary Survive, Recover, Live, is currently biking across the United States to raise money for Veteran’s causes. Lambertville’s Facebook page advised locals on November 6th, 2013 that Rob is currently just north of Milford NJ, and will be making his way south through Hunterdon County on Thursday, November 7th.
His estimated time of arrive in Lambertville is between 10am and 11am, and with Veteran’s Day just around the corner, the community is rallying to support him. The Fire Department, the police department and others plan to line the streets to cheer Rob’s courageous journey onward. Riding with his prosthetics for 30 miles per day, Rob will cover 5,400 miles on his journey to assist Veterans Charities.
