Executive Chef Drew Abruzzese of the Pineville Tavern in Bucks County is the next “Guest Pizzaiolo” in Liberty Hall Pizza’s series in which guest chefs take over the Neapolitan pizzeria’s wood-fired brick oven for a night to create specialty pizzas. On April 7th diners will taste two pizzas created by Abruzzese: a “Red Pizza” topped with Prosciutto Cotto, Porcini, Buratta and Truffle Oil; and a “White Pizza” made with Maytag Bleu Cheese, Macerated Cherries, Pistachio and Duck Confit.

Abruzzese has been Executive Chef and owner of the historic Pineville Tavern since 2005. Family owned for more than three decades, the Pineville Tavern is one of Bucks County’s most popular restaurants. Built in 1742 and serving as a community landmark, the restaurant was featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network in 2010 where its famous homemade ravioli and snapping turtle soup were featured.

In 2013 Abruzzese was named “Best Chef Bucks County” by BucksHappening.com. He also serves as General Manager of A.P. Abruzzese Painting in New Hope. In 2003 he was chosen to be a cast member on the NBC reality television show The Restaurant featuring Chef Rocco Dispirito.

Liberty Hall Pizza’s entire menu will be available during guest pizzaiolo events, which are held every other Tuesday evening.

Chris Bryan opened Liberty Hall Pizza with business partner Danny Popkin in December 2014. The authentic, Neapolitan pizzeria serves a dozen Neapolitan pizzas along with garden-fresh salads and draught root beer floats Tuesdays through Sundays for dinner only. Liberty Hall Pizza is located inside the Canal Studios Complex at 243 North Union Street in Lambertville, New Jersey.
