Art Opening: Ordinary Obsessions

ArtYard, the recently opened Frenchtown venue led by ‘heartistic’ Executive Director Jill Kearney, presents Ordinary Obsessions, an exhibition of works by Toronto-based artists Ken Nicol and Lois Andison. The exhibition will feature drawing, sculpture, installation and video works which explore matters of introspection, fragility, and the translation of the disorder of everyday life into the art object.

The public is invited to opening night on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The exhibition will remain on display through September 10, 2017.

ArtYard has four components – a gallery space for art installation, a theater for performance and film, a residency to serve as an incubator for artistic work, and a program to foster creative collaboration between communities that don’t normally intersect.
