The day concluded with a spectacular keynote address by Michele N. Siekerka, Esq., the President of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association, the nation’s largest employer association representing over 20,000 member companies and 1.1 million employees within the state. During her presentation, Michele shared her practical experience on achieving professional nirvana. From building a positive company culture to the importance of connecting at a local level between business and non-profits in order to build a community, she definitely highlighted some valuable tips and suggestions.

“The Summit provides a great opportunity for women in Hunterdon County to get the latest information on a variety of business topics to help them succeed in today’s world. It also provides an outstanding environment to make new connections and develop strategic partnerships. Attendees left this year’s Summit feeling energized and ready to take action with what they learned. I am excited for our upcoming Lunch & Learn on Tuesday June 7th with Eileen Sinett, which will expand upon the theme of communication.” stated Michelle Heide, Chair of the Women’s Business Forum of Patton, Heide & Associates.

Through the Scholarship Sponsor, MSI Plumbing & Remodeling, the Hunterdon Chamber was able to offer ten scholarships to college students and small business owners who are just starting out. Also, as a special component to the day, Dress for Success was in attendance to share more information about their organization, plus they collected gently used professional attire from attendees. Overall, everyone involved with this year’s Summit did an excellent job with bridging this year’s theme.
