It’s time to dust off your green gear, March 17th is nearly here! St. Paddy’s began as a religious feast day in the 17th century to commemorate St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, but has since evolved into a day of merriment with a variety of festivals and events the world over. St. Patrick’s Day is a day to celebrate Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, and lots and lots of green! Celtic Music at Hunterdon Library

Where: Hunterdon Library North County Branch meeting room

When: March 9 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Na’Bodach (Gaelic for “not old men”) finishes off the North County Branch Saturday Winter Concert Series with a celebration of Celtic music in time for St. Patty’s Day. Call (908) 730-6262 for tickets.

Hunterdon County St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Where: Main Street, Clinton
When: Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Hosted by the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick (FSSP), the 2019 Hunterdon County St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Main Street in Clinton on Sunday, March 10 at 3 p.m. The parade features more than 50 marching bands. including five pipe and drum bands and the North Hunterdon High School Marching Band. An all-ages after party hosted by the FSSP will be held at the Red Mill Museum.

St. Patrick’s Day at Red Mill Museum

Where: The Red Mill Museum Village

When: Sunday March 10, 2019

After the parade, join the St. Patrick’s Day festivities at the Red Mill Museum which include activities, crafts, treats and traditional Irish fiddle music.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations at Cryan’s Tavern

Where: Cryan’s Tavern

2 Beaver Avenue, Annandale

When: March 10th – March 17th

Cryan’s has scheduled 2 weeks of St. Patrick’s Day entertainment. The lineup includes:

March 10 – Open at 10:30 a.m. for breakfast before the parade, then the Celtic Rebel Band performs after the Clinton St. Patrick’s Parade

March 16 –Michael Craig Band 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

March 17 –  Musician Jimmy Farrell kicks off the day at 1 p.m. Celtic Rebel Band appears from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Party at Arties – St. Patty’s with Suburban Disturbance

Where: Artie’s Bar and Grill

St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations at The Shipp Inn 

Where: The Ship Inn Restaurant and Brewery

When: Saturday, March 16th 8 p.m.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Eve with Celtic rock music from Na’Bodach, plus Irish food and drink specials.

When: Sunday, March 17 6 p.m.-10 p.m.

Singing and storytelling duo Lynn and Tony Hughes will perform. The bartenders will be mixing Irish drinks, and the kitchen will offer their Irish best!
