The “best summer ever” is right around the corner and the Hunterdon County YMCA is offering day camp to make sure kids and teens are adventurous, active and healthy this summer. YMCA camp programs offer youth fun and unique experiences with an opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new interests and create memories that last a lifetime. HCYMCA Camp Carr was voted the 2017 Best Camp in the County by Hunterdon Happening.

The HCYMCA offers a variety of camp options. A traditional camp experience is found at Camp Carr in Clinton Township and South Camp at South Hunterdon High School in Lambertville, while Sports Camp is held at the Deer Path Branch in Flemington. There are also over 20 specialty camp options, including travel camp, horseback riding, Mad Science, Bricks 4 Kidz (Lego), Nerf, Ninja Warrior, Super Hero, Artful Discover, ballet, tennis, flag football, extreme sports, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and more. New for 2018 are Nature Camps including Farming & Gardening, Fishing, and Environmental Survival. With this many options, parents can find the ideal camp for each child.

Summer is the ideal time for kids to get up, get out and explore. But, for some kids summer means no access to recreational and educational activities to help them learn, grow and thrive during out-of-school time. As a result, they can experience learning loss and gain weight twice as fast as during the school year. Attending YMCA summer camp is a wonderful opportunity for kids to keep their minds and bodies active.

A leading nonprofit committed to nurturing the potential of youth, the Y has been a leader in providing summer camp for over 131 years. The HCYMCA continues to give youth an enriching, safe experience with caring staff who model positive values that help build character.

To learn more about HCYMCA day camp, call 908-782-1030 or visit www.hcymca.org. Registration can be completed at either the Deer Path Branch, 144 W. Woodschurch Rd. in Flemington or the Round Valley Branch, 1410 Rt. 22 West in Annandale.
